Osteopathy for Your Pet

Osteopathy is the practice of moving the organs, bones, and muscles without physical force, using hands-on energy healing, to improve organ function and relieve pain. It was developed in the U.S.A. at the end of the 19th century by Andrew Still, M.D. Osteopathy encourages the body to heal itself.

This type of treatment is prescribed by Dr. Swanson when she finds a functional problem with the musculoskeletal system or with an organ in your pet. Then you will make an appointment for your pet to receive the protocol.

For example, the gluten protocol will help your pet correct musculosckeltal and organ problems, when they have been adversely affected by a grain-based diet.

Another commonly prescribed treatment is the sympathetic overdrive protocol. Dr. Swanson prescribes this treatment for pets who have experienced trauma and their adrenal glands are working overtime (fight/flight).

Osteopathy protocol appointments are 30 to 60 minutes in length.
